Who We Are
Haven for African Children is a Non-Profit Organization with a Christian foundation founded in 2015 by Mpimbaza Emilio. What began as a heartfelt music outreach program, blossomed into a comprehensive support system for Orphaned and vulnerable children across Uganda.
Our journey started when our founder witnessed firsthand the reality of the struggles of children living on the streets and in dangerous conditions. Moved by compassion and guided by faith, Haven was established as a refuge where hurting children could find not only their basic needs met but also experience the transformative power in the love of Christ.
Today, we operate as a registered NGO in Uganda under registration number INDP0002376NB, driven by a dedicated, motivated and compassionate small team of staff and volunteers who share our commitment of being the hands and feet of Gods tremendous work in our communities. Our approach combines immediate intervention with long-term development, addressing both urgent needs and root causes of vulnerability.

Sponsoring a child is simple. Visit our "Sponsor a Child" page, where you can view profiles of children awaiting sponsorship. Select a child, complete the sponsorship form, and choose your payment method. You'll receive regular updates about your sponsored child and can exchange letters and prayers.
At least 85% of all donations go directly to programs that benefit the children. The remaining funds support essential administrative functions, fundraising efforts, and organizational sustainability. We maintain full financial transparency and can provide detailed reports upon request.
Absolutely! While we welcome professionals in education, healthcare, and social work, we have meaningful volunteer opportunities for everyone. Your compassion, willingness to learn, and desire to serve are valuable assets. We provide necessary training and support.
